Important dates for Wellington Pride Festival 2026

This page will be updated as plans for the Festival progress. Our aim is to be transparent about deadlines and give you plenty of time to get involved.

2025

October

• 1 October: Expressions of interest for Festival events are open
  (You will hear back from us within two weeks of your application)

November

• Early November: Stallholder applications for Out in the City open

• November: Expressions of interest as OITC performers open

• 21 November: Festival Preview Party

2026

January

• 16 January: Last day to submit an expression of interest for Festival Event and be included in the print programme

February

• 28 February: Last day to submit an expression of interest for Festival Event and be included in the digital calendar

March

• Festival 6 - 22 March 2026

  • 6 March: Dawn ceremony

  • 6 March: Opening gala

  • 14 March: Youth Ball

  • 15 March: Out in the City

  • 17 March: Pride Hīkoi (tbc)

  • 22 March: Pride Picnic
