What do I have to do to be included?
You fill out the form and agree to our Diversity & Inclusion policy. We assess your application and make sure it’s the right fit for our festival before we accept you. We might ask for clarity if there’s any part of your form we don’t understand.
Does it cost money to be part of Wellington Pride Festival? Do I need to give you a percentage of my profits?
It is free to be part of WPF 2027, and your profits are your own - though we are a registered charity so if you’re making a lot of money off the community, it would be nice to reinvest some of that money.
Will you book my act/screen my film/hire me as a DJ?
We are an umbrella Festival which means that apart from our Signature Events which are already planned, we don’t produce shows. Members of our community create events and we help promote them through the Festival programme.
It is possible that we may look for performers for Out in the City and the Pride Youth Ball, but those calls will be made on social media - and we will only have budget for local performers.
Will you fund me to put on a show?
Unfortunately we do not have funding available.
I hear you have a Pride Hub that can be used for events
Yes! Pride HQ will return in 2027, and you can book it for free or low cost events. Get in contact if you think this might be you - we don’t have all the details about the space yet but are happy to talk!
