We’re celebrating 40 years to the day since the Gay & Lesbian Fair in Newtown on 15 March 1986 began what has become the Wellington Pride Festival. Be part of our all-day family friendly fair event with stalls, stage performances, delicious food and drink and a jam-packed day of LGBTTQIA+ celebration and vibes.
If you’re coming into Te Whanganui-ā-Tara for Pride, you don’t want to miss this event - it’s our biggest, and it’s free! Come down and hang out, can’t wait to see you there.
Stallholder applications now open
Application are open for stalls for Out in the City 2026, and we'd love to have you join us!
Out in the City 2026 will be held on Sunday March 15, 10am-4pm. Set up will be from 7am, as we need to begin the stall set ups in stages due to lack of parking/drop off space.
This year we are skipping expressions of interest and going straight to applications. We will send out the first round of notifications for successful applications in December, and the fee will be due in February. We will keep applications open through to January or until all spaces are gone. As there are limited numbers of each stall type, we will contact you if your preferred type is not available.
Please note: We don’t condone the use and selling of AI art during our events. This is due to our belief that AI steals from the mahi of human artists, and its negative impacts our environment. WPF will always strive to uplift the arts community and we stand with them against AI-generated art.
