Werewolf

  • Pride HQ 28 Blair Street Wellington, Wellington Region, 6011 New Zealand (map)

We're playing Werewolf! And you should play with us. This is a free event, but we're asking you to register over on Lil Regie as we're capping numbers to 17 people for best game play, but if lots of people want to play, we'll make sure there's a waiting list and will be in touch.

About Werewolf

Werewolf is a social deduction party game that scales from 7 people to 35. You may also know it as Mafia, or know a similar game called Among Us. It's very easy to learn but can be very hard to get good at it, but don't worry - you'll be in safe hands with our game leader Mike, who has played all over the world. Essentially, you need to discover who the werewolves are in the group before they can get you - or if you are one of the wolves, you need to evade detection. So you'll lie, you'll defend yourself, you'll accuse others and try to stay alive. It's a very fun time.

About the event

This is an R18 event (we may ask for ID so please be flattered) because you are welcome to bring your own beverages of your choice - alcoholic or not, to drink as you play the game. We ask you to be responsible though - this isn't intended as a drunken party, more of a social lubricant. LIght snacks and water will be provided, but we do recommend you eat dinner beforehand. You can't just eat villagers!

As part of Wellington Pride Festival, this event is primarily for members of the Rainbow community, but if you're an ally who comes with love and respect for us, you're welcome to join in.

About the venue

We'll be playing in Pride HQ at 28 Blair Street. There's sturdy tables and gender neutral bathrooms. The space is partially wheelchair accessible -  the wheelchair accessible bathroom is in the building next door. We will be the only group using the space at the time, so noise levels should not be too high.
