What’s happening
Wellington Pride Festival officially runs from 6 - 22 March, but you’ll find our events here on either side of that as well, as Pride is not just a two week thing.

The majority of these events have been created by the community. However, the Wellington Pride Festival Committee produces the following Signature Events:
6 March - 22 March: Rainbow Windows of Wellington
14 March: Pride Youth Ball
15 March: Pride Hīkoi
15 March: Out in the City
15 March: Pooches in the Plaza
22 March: Pride Picnic
Rainbow Youth Night at Karori Library
After-hours fun at the library! Join us to make friends, chat to a librarian about your favourite queer literature, and enjoy pizza, gaming, badge-making, and quiet spaces to chill in. Youth Nights are for young people aged 14–18 so be prepared to show your school ID at the door.
Drag Bingo & Open Drag Show
We will have bingo at 7:30 and after that we will have an open stage so people can do drag for the first time or if someone want to be a queen for the night this gig is th perfect place for them.
Werewolf
Join us for a social deduction party game where you'll lie, you'll defend yourself, you'll accuse others and try to stay alive. It's a very fun time.
Small Wheels Pride
Come and join Ngā Wīra Iti Collective, the lively, vibrant, and diverse small wheels communities of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, for a bunch of small wheels activities on the waterfront! Seaside Skates and Richter City Roller Derby will have stalls at Out in the City, there'll be a Roller Pride Parade, skate sessions, demonstrations, a mini roller disco, and an opportunity to give skating a go and get some pointers.

A free, low key, lower sensory event. Come meet people, play board games, have fun.
True Colourers
A free, low key, lower sensory event. Come meet people while you do some colouring - the perfect way to chill.
Beer'n'Pride
A queer pub quiz featuring amazing quiz masters and drag artists! All proceeds go to Naming NZ to help young trans and non binary people pay for Name Changes and new IDs when they transition!
